Headquartered in Vienna, the Austrian Business Agency (ABA) advises international companies with a presence in Austria and offers support finding international skilled workers. The agency celebrated its 40th anniversary in Vienna on 29 September, attended by economics minister Dr Kocher. A study by paul und collegen on Austria as a film destination and the economic impact of international film productions in Austria was presented at the event along with several other contributions.

Cross-border transactions, globally active market players, share deals instead of asset deals: Real estate experts are increasingly required to address the basics of business valuation or work in partnership with business appraisers. In turn, real estate is playing a growing role in business models and company balance sheets, something that requires the involvement of business appraisers. On 15 September 2022, Michael Paul spoke with Prof. Dr Ralf Klann and Marvin Feuchthofen about his experiences in both areas at the EBZ Business School in Bochum.

A new owner has now taken on the various industrial activities undertaken by both companies. Two-thirds of all jobs at the firms have been secured and a solution for the long-term disposal of waste deposits has been agreed with the competent authorities from the state, district and affected towns. Insolvency proceedings under self-administration were successfully concluded with operational management provided by the paul und collegen team under the helm of Thomas Paul and Matthias Busch.

Vivanco GmbH acquires POS Servicegesellschaft GmbH

Paul und collegen mediates the successful takeover (asset deal) of the insolvent POS Servicegesellschaft mbH by VIVANCO GmbH

Back in February 2018, SME service provider POSS (Falkensee, near Berlin) filed for restructuring proceedings under self-administration at Potsdam District Court, which then transitioned to standard proceedings at the end of June 2018. Under the guidance of paul and collegen, insolvency administrator Dr Susanne Berner succeeded in the continuation of comprehensive POSS business operations without any restrictions. paul und collegen conducted the investor process and ensured that the service agreement with the Pelikan Group would be upheld, with the investor VIVANCO GmbH taking on 260 of the original 290 employees as part of the business transfer. The deal was approved by the board of creditors before Christmas 2018.
